In line with the policy implemented by the Ministry of Public Works and Transport to upgrade all major roads with street lighting, street lighting network on Zahrani – Tyre international road (10km) and the Joaya – Tebnine road (30km) were equipped with a street lighting network.
The supervision tasks involved approval of the lighting materials proposed by the contractor (cables, poles, luminaries, control boards, photo cells, transformers…), location and laying of cables, construction of manholes, erection of poles, and installation of luminaires, boards, transformers… etc., as well as the testing of each element and the system as a whole.
A GIS compatible data base and plans were also prepared.
