Details:
Design of a 60m diameter roundabout connecting seven arms of the intersection in a non-conflictual traffic movement. The seven arms are: Mekalles, Tal Zaater, Deir Mar Rockoz, Rawdah / Baouchrieh, Jdeideh, Bourj Hammoud, and Sin el Fil. The overall area covered by the upgrading project is approximately 35,000 m², with all roads paved and upgraded with sidewalks and all road furnishing, in addition to the removal and clearing of expropriated structures as per decree no. 1076/59, along Deir Mar Rockoz road. The works also included upgrading and reconstructing some major links and upgrading the existing roadway network in the area.
The study included the following tasks:
Preliminary design including economic and environmental studies carried out on HDM-4 and SIDRA. The final Detailed Engineering Design included: road condition and topographical survey, geotechnical investigations, hydrological survey, traffic survey, structural design of retaining walls and hydraulic structures, with tender documents preparation and expropriation files.
